We prepare the dough for the donuts. Sift the flour into a bowl and make a hole in the middle. Add the yeast dissolved in the warm milk. Stir a little, then add eggs, butter, lemon juice, sugar and salt powder.

Knead well until you get an elastic and non-sticky dough. Cover the dish with a kitchen towel and leave to rise until it doubles in volume. Knead a little more and leave the dough to rise again. Then we spread the dough and cut it lengthwise so that it has the width of two glasses with which we will cut the donuts. Put jam on one side and cover with the other side of the dough. Press the dough well, to stick the edges, then cut the donuts with the glass. We place them on a floured kitchen towel and let them rise for 30 minutes.

Fry them in hot oil, on the right heat, on both sides. Then I powdered them with powdered sugar. Great appetite!
