Quick delicacies prepared at home. How to make caramels in the microwave in just 7 minutes

There are dozens of options in which you can enjoy caramel: from topping for ice cream and cakes, to puddings and baked apples. But nothing compares to a sticky caramel eaten for dessert, especially if it is made with your own hands. Surprisingly, it is an extremely simple dessert to prepare.

In 7 wonders and with few ingredients you can make a portion of delicious homemade caramels. Traditionally, you need to melt the sugar on the fire until it melts and turns into a coppery syrup with a dizzying smell. This is the process by which sugar is caramelized.

If you choose to make caramels by the usual method, on the stove, you need to mix continuously in the sugar after it has melted and you must have at hand a special thermometer to check if the sugar has reached the optimum temperature for caramelization and does not burn .

The microwave is much better for preparing caramels. Microwaves cook food because they heat the water in the ingredients, so there is a limit to how far the ingredients can heat up. As water evaporation is the key process in caramelization, in the microwave this happens much simpler and without failures.

How to make caramels in the microwave?

  • 115g butter
  • 120ml liquid glucose
  • 200g brown sugar
  • 120ml sweet condensed milk
  • salt (optional)

Method of preparation:
Grease a ceramic heat-resistant dish (preferably square).
Melt the butter in the microwave in another bowl. Mix it with liquid glucose, sugar and condensed milk.
Put everything in the microwave at maximum power and cook for 6 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare an ice water bath.
After 6 minutes, take a teaspoon of camel and pour it into cold water. Take it out of the water by hand and roll it between your fingers. If you can form a soft ball out of it, then it's ready. If not, continue to cook the mixture for 30 seconds, until it reaches the desired consistency. Normally it should not last more than 8 minutes in total.
Slowly remove the bowl from the oven and pour the caramel into the greased bowl, prepared at the beginning.
If you want, you can sprinkle salt now.
Refrigerate the dish for at least 30 minutes, until the mixture hardens. Cut it into rectangles or squares and wrap them in wax paper each.
Store the caramels in a container with a lid at room temperature.

Caramel Cream Desert Recipe

The heat does not allow us to stay too long in the kitchen in the summer, although we would still eat something sweet. That's why a dessert like caramel cream (but not the one in the envelope) is easy and quick to make and of course, tasty.

Ingredients: 1/2 l milk, 4 tablespoons sugar, 4 eggs, vanilla, 5 tablespoons sugar for dressing form.

Preparation: Put the milk, vanilla and sugar in a saucepan. At first it is kept on the edge of the car until the sugar melts, then it is pushed over a good fire and it is left to boil. Beat eggs in a bowl so that the egg white mixes well with the yolk. Pour the milk over the milk slowly, stirring constantly.

Put three tablespoons of sugar in a tin form with a hole in the middle and straight walls or, if necessary, in a pot of the right size for the above amount. Keep on a good heat until the sugar burns, without darkening, because it would give a bitter taste to the cream. Bend the shape on all sides so that the walls are covered with burnt sugar to the height that the cream will reach. Strain the composition and pour into the form covered with burnt sugar. Cover and place the form in a bowl of boiling water. Put in the oven, simmer for 45 minutes. He's trying with a straw. If the straw comes out clean, you can put the cream aside. Allow to cool in the bowl with water, and when it is cold, remove the cream from the top edge with a knife and pour over the plate.
